You have the opportunity to own a card from the amazing 1955 Bowman baseball set. Our sister company, Vintage Breaks, just listed a complete set break! See how you can join the card breaks with your chance at a graded cards of Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and more.

We love teaming up with our sister company, Vintage Breaks, especially when it could help you land a a graded card of legendary players like Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, or Hank Aaron. A brand new break has been listed and Vintage Breaks has spots available to purchase now.

New call-to-action

1955 Bowman baseball has the iconic "TV" design. You can see on the four cards above that wood boarder with the tube in the middle, just like the television sets you remember as a kid. You had to go "warm up" the TV before before changing the dial to find your favorite show. This this set ended up being the final release for Bowman baseball cards until they returned in 1989. If you were a Mickey Mantle fan, this was the only set you could find number 7 in, too; he had a contract with Bowman in 1954 and 1955 and was not in a Topps release either year. These four cards above are the exact cards from the set break.

Highlights include:

  • Mickey Mantle graded SGC 4
  • Hank Aaron graded SGC 3
  • Willie Mays graded SGC 4.5
  • Ernie Banks graded SGC 3.5
  • Yogi Berra graded SGC 3
  • + more stars and Hall of Famers!

As there are 320 cards in the set, only 320 spots in the break will be sold - this ensures that you will take home a card from the set. The list of name is always randomized LIVE on the show as the break occurs; you have the same chance as everyone else in the break to land the cards you desire. For example - If you land on spot #202 after the random, you will take home card #202, Mickey Mantle!

Take a trip back to when Hank Aaron and Ernie Banks were in their second year of ball, just kids on their way to the Hall of Fame. In 1955 when Disneyland first opened it's doors (July 17th), NORAD began tracking Santa Claus for you, Bill Haley & his Comets had the top song for several months with Rock Around The Clock, and the price of gas was 29 cents per gallon.

We offer many ways to evaluate your cards other than using our website, too.

  • Travel to us

If you can make the trip here like the son from my hometown did for this collection- we can make a deal at the office. We once met a father-son duo that drove eight hours from Virginia to meet us to sell a Michael Jordan rookie card stored in Tupperware since 1986 - great read here

  • Come to a convention

We keep a LIST of the card shows we'll be attending.  Come stop by the Just Collect table and chat.

  • Meet in-person

If you have a valuable collection and want us to come to you, we'll hop on the next plane out. We recently took a trip to California to purchase a collection that included three Jackie Robinson 1948 Leaf rookie cards that you can read about here.

  • Meet in New York City

We have another location in New York you can meet us at; read all the information here.

  • SHIP your collection

If you choose to mail your cards for an appraisal, we will evaluate your cards for FREE still. If you choose not to sell the cards, we'll ship them back with shipping fees paid by us!  We can offer our FedEx account with 2-day shipping, fully insured, all covered by us. Simply contact the office to set up this option.

We've run into a wide range of people and collections over the last 25 years. Although Just Collect is known for buying vintage sports cards and especially vintage baseball cards, we are also extremely interested in buying non-sports cards, too!

Every collection and every collector is different and we treat EVERY collection with the respect and attention that we show for our own collections. We understand that many have put their heart and souls into building their collections. So when you're ready to sell, we understand the feelings that you're going through and will work with you to help you reach a decision that is a WIN/WIN, because if you're not happy, we're not happy.

Whether you have vintage cards or modern wax you want to sell, you can reach out to us any time!
