1960 LEAF WAX PACK BREAK

In 1960, Leaf came back into the baseball card market for the first time in 11 years. Rather than using a stick of gum as the selling point like Topps did, Leaf used a fun toy that kids would enjoy - a marble! Leaf and their partner, Sports Novelties, Inc. placed a marble inside of a pack of five baseball cards. Today, our sister company, Vintage Breaks, has a pack of cards, marble and all, available to you!

Vintage Breaks is known for breaking rare and vintage packs. At the 2018 National, they opened a1955 Bowman cello pack and pulled a Mickey Mantle live on the main stage! Last year, Vintage Breaks sat with Geoff Wilson of Sports Card Investor to open a 1952 Bowman pack. Recently, "VB" pulled a pack-fresh Hank Aaron from a 1947-66 Exhibits pack .

The checklist for 1960 Leaf includes Hall of Famers like Luis Aparicio, Jim Bunning, and Orland Cepeda. There are 144 total cards in the set, each featuring a black and white photo of the the stars of yesterday. The backs of each card feature a biography and player stats. Fun fact: LEAF is not listed on each card! Their partner company , Sports Novelties, Inc., is what is printed on the card. Imagine today buying any product - be it Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, etc., and the company logo not being on the card.

There are FIVE cards and one marble in this pack. Only five spots are being sold, ensuring everyone in the break will take home a card from this pack. Vintage Breaks will roll dice and randomize the list of names in the break. After the random, the spot you land on will be the card you receive from the pack. Example - if your name is listed as the third spot after the random, the third card from the pack is yours! Spot number one gets the first card in the pack, and the fun marble, too.

Every card in this pack has not seen the light of day since 1960. For 63 years, these cards have missed the moon landing (July 20th, 1969), the invention of the Internet, every cup of coffee since Starbucks opened in 1971.

If you choose to mail your cards for an appraisal, we will evaluate your cards for FREE still. If you choose not to sell the cards, we'll ship them back shipping fees paid by us! We can offer our FedEx account with 2-day shipping, fully insured, all covered by us. Simply contact the office to set up this option.
