2022 Baseball Card Hall of Fame Voting is Open

The Baseball Card Hall of Fame voting is now open for the class of 2022. YOU get to vote on which cards will be enshrined into this unique and fun group of iconic cards.

Which baseball cards would you vote to be inducted into in the Baseball Card Hall of Fame? The Baseball Card Hall of Fame gave us a TOUGH choice for the Class of 2022. You can now vote on the cards to be enshrined! 

BASEBAL CARD HALL OF FAME 2022 VOTING

Forty total cards are being considered for the Baseball Card Hall of Fame. The fifth installment of this conversation-starting (and possible fun argument-bringing!) club is now open to you for voting.

There are three pieces of criteria for a baseball card to be eligible for the HOF:

  • Popular
  • Iconic status
  • Value

 

Over the last four years, 41 total cards have been inducted, including some of our favorites. The 1909-11 T-206 Honus Wagner and 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card were a few of the vintage cards inducted in the inaugural class of 2018 along with a modern card in the 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr rookie card. To show how fun the HOF is, the very popular 1989 Fleer Billy Ripken error card took a trip down the red carpet enshrinement.

Which cards are up for induction this year? Here are a few highlights:

 

  • 1939 Playball Joe DiMaggio rookie card. We still haven't solved the puzzle about the collection we purchased with a Joe D rookie card stamped with a random date in the Mysteriously Stamped Playball Collection. 



  • 1909-11 T206 - Eddie Plank. One of the more rarer cards in the hobby, Just Collect purchased an authentic Plank card in one of our most-remembered collections - The Fairy Godmother Find.

 

  • 1967 Topps Tom Seaver rookie card. We love the stories each collection has when they come to our Just Collect office for an appraisal. Another unique purchase we made came in 2017 when a local man contacted us about selling a collection of cards that included high-profile rookie cards. The majority of the cards, including several rookie cards of Tom Terrific were housed in a series of file cabinet drawers!

 

  • 1997 Upper Deck Game Jersey Ken Griffey Jr. When you saw that swatch above come out of a pack of '97 UD baseball cards, you couldn't believe your eyes. Before high-end products such as Panini National Treasures or Topps Sterling, Upper Deck was one of the first to insert a piece of jersey onto a baseball card. The odds to pull one were LONG. Today most hobby boxes of any product tend to offer at least one relic card per box but in 1997, you pulled a Game Jersey card every 800 packs! 

 

You're allowed to vote for 10 of the 40 cards for the Class of 2022. Those are four we are going to vote for right now! What about you, though? Maybe you're thinking about voting for the 1991 Topps Desert Shield Chipper Jones rookie card or the 1990 Topps No Name Frank Thomas rookie card. So. Many. Choices.

Voting runs through June 3rd and the cards being inducted into the Baseball Card Hall of Fame will be announced June 6th. To see all 40 cards and cast your vote, click HERE.

If you choose to mail your cards for an appraisal, we will evaluate your cards for FREE still. If you choose not to sell the cards, we'll ship them back shipping fees paid by us!  We can offer our FedEx account with 2-day shipping, fully insured, all covered by us.
