Holy Cow! What a game that was last night. The Cubs have finally won the World Series after a 108-year drought. To celebrate we thought it would be fun to put up a list of the best Cubs cards ever. To be fair, not all of the cards below feature the players when they played for Chicago, but they are all famous Cubs. Enjoy.

1887 Old Judge Larry Corcoran

A cool card from one of the earliest sets of baseball cards ever. Corcoran is famous for being one of baseball's few "switch-pitchers." Back when he played, the Chicago team was known as the White Stockings.

1961 Topps Ron Santo

A rookie card of a Chicago favorite. Ron Santo was a nine-time All Star, a former Cubs radio broadcaster, and a 2012 Hall of Fame inductee.

1916 Sporting News Grover Cleveland Alexander

One of the most dominant pitchers of his era, Grover Cleveland Alexander played for the Cubs from 1918 to 1926. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1938.

1915 Cracker Jack Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown

Mordecai Brown got his nickname from a farming accident which claimed his right index finger. The Cubs ace and Hall of Famer pitched in both the 1907 and 1908 World Series (the last time the Cubs won). Here he is in the iconic Cracker Jack set.

1909-1911 T206 Joe Tinker

Baseball's Sad Lexicon --- perhaps the most well-known double play combination of all time. Popularized by a 1910 poem by Franklin Pierce Adams, the following trio is forever a part of baseball lore.

1909-1911 T206 Johnny Evers

1909-1911 Frank Chance

1882 Goodwin Champs Cap Anson

Cap Anson was a Hall of Fame player/manager for the Chicago Colts and White Stockings from 1876 to 1897. Here he is pictured in the rare 1888 Goodwin Champs series, a very popular 19th century set.

1935 Diamond Stars Rogers Hornsby

Hornsby is seen here as a member of the St. Louis Browns, but he was a Cub from 1929 to 1932. Known as "The Rajah," Hornsby's career batting average of .358 is second only to Ty Cobb. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1942.

1954 Topps Ernie Banks

In 1969, "Mr. Cub" was voted by fans as the greatest Cub ever. Banks hit his 500th career home run at Wrigley Field in 1970 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013.

1983 Topps Ryne Sandberg

Not exactly vintage --- but we would be remiss if we left off the rookie card of this beloved Cub.

*1990 Leaf Sammy Sosa

Say what you want about Slammin' Sammy, but his rookie card in an ironic bunting pose is pretty great.

2014 Bowman Inception Kris Bryant?

Maybe the 2013 Superfractor is actually a better card, modern isn't our specialty, but will the young star Kris Bryant one day be included in the list of Cubs greats?

That concludes our list. What do you think? Did we leave anything out? Let us know in the comments.
