This week we are proudly presenting a 1969 Topps Super #24 Mickey Mantle from the New York Yankees graded PSA 8.5! “The Mick” is featured in the high grade and scarce 1969 Topps Super Test issue graded NM/MT+ by PSA. Donned in the Yankees pinstripes and his classic lefthanded stance, “The Commerce Comet” still looks imposing even as his career was about to come to an end. This is a must have and still remains on the want lists of many of the more advanced Mickey Mantle collectors. Add this to your collection and it is certain to be a home run! Mantle was an American baseball center fielder who played 18 seasons in Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees from 1951 to 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. Mantle was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974 and was elected to the Major League Baseball All-Century Team in 1999. Mickey was noted for his hitting ability, both for average and for power. He won the Triple Crown in 1956, leading MLB in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in. He received three American League Most Valuable Player Awards and played in twenty All-Star games. Mantle appeared in 12 World Series, winning 7 of them. He holds the records for most World Series home runs (18), RBI’s (40), runs (42), walks (43), extra-base hits (26), and total bases (123). He is also the career leader (tied with Jim Thome) in walk-off home runs, with a combined thirteen, twelve in the regular season and one in the postseason. We are looking to buy 1969 Topps Super cards. Want to sell vintage cards? We are always buying vintage cards from 1879-1979, complete and partial sets, boxes, packs, and more!
