Play Ball!

There's nothing quite like the thrill of the Major League Baseball postseason.

The chill of the fall breeze in the evening takes us back to when we were young kids scrounging for loose change before hitting the corner store to buy as many packs of baseball cards as we could afford. Tonight, it is two American League Wild Card teams playing for the chance to either continue on to play the Boston Red Sox or go home until next spring. That was the case on Tuesday night (and early Wednesday morning on the East Coast) in the National League Wild Card Game when the Colorado Rockies sent the Chicago Cubs into hibernation for the winter.

Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton - Bowman Box Breaks

Given that "The 459" is in New Jersey, most of us in the Just Collect office are pulling for the New York Yankees and their two big boppers, Aaron Judge (whose 2013 Bowman Chrome Draft autograph rookie card worth $900 in PSA 10 can be found randomly inserted in this product) and Giancarlo Stanton (whose 2008 Bowman Chrome Draft autograph rookie card worth more than $500 in PSA 10 can be randomly inserted in this product) as they vie for their 28th World Series Championship.

The thrill of the chase to get to the World Series for players is probably akin to finding a great rookie card. In fact, winning in the playoffs would probably be like a collector pulling Mike Trout's 2009 Bowman Chrome prospect autographed card, that has sold for more than $10,000 in PSA 10 and the Gold Refractor that is worth $100,000 or more, from a 2009 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Box.

Maybe getting a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card would be as iconic as recalling Derek Jeter dashing across the infield to make "The Flip." Who can forget that playoff moment against the A's with Jeter sprinting and getting an errant relay to Jorge Posada to tag out Jeremy Giambi just before he reached home plate.
