We are excited to give you a sneak peek into a consignment that we will be offering for sale in the next few weeks. Today, one of our long time consignors came back to us, looking to sell the rest of his collection. He spent years putting together one of, if not the best, Hank Aaron collection. Ranging from his rookie card in 1954, to his last card produced in 1976 as a Brewer, this collection has them all - and in Mint condition!

The highlight of the collection is Hank Aaron’s rookie card, from the 1954 Topps set – graded a PSA 9 Mint. This is easily the toughest and most desirable card of the bunch. Of the 2,943 Aaron rookies encapsulated by PSA, less than 1% have earned the distinction of Mint or better. In fact, a PSA 9 Hank Aaron rookie is so rare, that only 1 example has surfaced on eBay since 2006 - fetching record sales. Something else that's cool about the card - it's the only Topps card depicting him as "Henry". The second card that we are proud to offer you, is from the 1968 Topps set, which features Aaron in his Atlanta Braves jersey.  This card was deemed "Gem Mint" by PSA, a feat that has only occurred two other times for Aaron in this set. Given the design of the card (tan and white spotted border), it's tough to find examples from this set graded so highly, in small part due to the illusion it gives, but mainly because it was easy to nic & chip, and almost impossible to find centered.  Unlike this example, most cards from this set display off centering or tilt, which can't warrant the Gem Mint distinction. This card truly is a gem, displaying perfect centering, razor sharp corners, and a sharp focus! The third card we will be offering from this collection comes from Topps' 1971 Set, which feature the impossible black borders. This set is regarded as one of the toughest to find in high grade, because of how easily the corners and edges chip, and how easily it shows. There have been over 200,000 cards from this set encapsulated with PSA, with more than 80% of them falling into the Near Mint-NM/MT range, and less than 3% reaching the Mint threshold! So, as you can see, this card that we'll be offering is as rare as a Tebow completed pass! The best part about this consignment is that we will be breaking it up and selling each card individually over the next 4-8 weeks, so you can pick and choose which cards you'd like to bid on. What could be better than owning one of the best cards from the real Home Run King?
