Super Bowl Fantasy Memorabilia

Super Bowl Fantasy Memorabilia

With less than 72 hours before kickoff we thought we'd open up the floor, and our wildest imaginations, to a discussion on Super Bowl Fantasy Memorabilia. You know the "what if", the "if only", or the "I'd love to see...", stuff that could only be birthed by an all-time performance or unforgettable moment under the brightest lights on the biggest stage in sports. This year's game has more than it's fair share of interesting characters and rich story lines so the pieces are all there. Now it's just a matter of who will put it all together or who will fall completely apart. Sure, it's highly unlikely that most of the items we came up with will never be but, hey, we're having fun here. Can't a collector dare to dream? So with out further delay we offer our Super Bowl XVLII Fantasy Memorabilia wish list: Ray Rice Super Bowl Rushing Record Game Used Jersey - Rice had a bit of an off year, in fact he single handedly ended my fantasy football season with his Week 14 performance against Denver which still stings, but I'm still a believer. The guy's got what it takes to break the 204 yard mark and if Timmy Smith could do it, so can our boy from Rutgers. Randy Moss Super Bowl Receiving Record Game Used Jersey - After a relatively quiet season as San Fran's fourth WR, good ol' Randy was back in vintage form when earlier this week he declared himself the greatest wide receiver of all-time. Pretty bold move when your wearing the same red and gold Jerry Rice did. Now's his chance though to back at least some of that statement up. All he needs is 215 yards or 4 TD's. And in case you were wondering, yes, Rice currently holds both of those records. David Akers Super Bowl Losing/Missed Field Goal Football - You never want to kick a guy while he's down (though Akers might even miss a target like that at this point in his broken state) but the facts are the facts. San Fran's kicker has been dismal and after the miss in Atlanta I wouldn't trust him to take out my trash let alone a take a game deciding kick in the SB. But here we are, one kick away from greatness or goat. If he becomes the latter than that ball will be one of the most sought after modern football related pieces ever. Ray Lewis Game Winning Interception/Touchdown Football - What better way to go out than to pick off a late game pass in 49ers territory and return it for a TD? It would cement Lewis' status as one of the premier defenders in the history if the game and  make him part of Super Bowl lore. Ray Lewis "Last Dance" Super Bowl Game Worn Cleats - While we're on the subject of Lewis, here is the one piece of game used memorabilia guaranteed to come out of this game. Far more valuable if the Ravens win the game but highly desirable either way. After watching him step through the smoke in his signature style for nearly two decades it would be fantastic to own that last pair of shoes Ray took the field in. Just a really fun piece! Joe Flacco Super Bowl Passing Record  Game Used Jersey - We just have a feeling that we're about to witness the greatest game of Flacco's career to date. Baltimore's QB is in the zone, having not thrown a pick in the entire postseason, and seems determined to make the leap to the "elite" level at his position. Add to it that he's playing for mega contract and what we'll see on Sunday is a man possessed. He's flirted with 400 yards twice this season and we all know he's got the arm to do it. Now all he just has to do is get past Kurt Warner. Clearly our list can go on and on but we want to hear from you. What's the piece you'd like most to take home from this year's game? Let us know. Enjoy the game everyone!
