This week we are presenting this beautiful  T206 Ty Cobb w/ Bat Off Shoulder baseball card graded SGC 20. Ty Cobb – synonymous with turn of the century baseball and excellence in the game – is depicted on this American Tobacco T206 card in this classic pose donned in his collared Detroit jersey with bat in hand.  Identified as the “Bat off Shoulder” version, this example of the greatest hitter in baseball history presents with stunning eye appeal due to the clarity of the image and the incredible centering.  This one is a “Peach!” Ty Cobb spent the majority of his Hall of Fame career in Detroit, where he won 12 batting titles and won MVP honors in 1911. To this day, Cobb still holds several Major League records, including highest career batting average and most career batting titles. With 4,189 career hits, Cobb currently ranks 2nd all time, and well ahead of 3rd place Hank Aaron. In 1936, Cobb received the most votes of any player on the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, receiving 222 out of a possible 226 votes. We are looking to buy T206 cards.  Want to sell vintage cards?  We are always buying vintage cards from 1879-1979, complete and partial sets, boxes, packs, and more!
