  • July 11, 2022

How would you like to own a real NBA Championship ring from the legendary Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls teams of the 1990's? What if we told you that you could also take home a championship ring from the Lakers team featuring Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant? A key contributor on both teams, Horace Grant, is offering FOUR of his championship rings off through Heritage Auctions.

Horace Grant had a fine NBA career. Playing from 1987-2004, Grant racked up almost 13,000 career points and was an All-Star in 1994. Most notably from his career, Grant won FOUR championships! Alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Grant won championships in 1991, 1992, and 1993. After joining the Los Angeles Lakers, Grant won another title playing with Shaq and Kobe. Those championship rings, all four, are being offered in the Summer Platinum Night Sports Auction.

  • 1991 Ring The first title is always the sweetest! The ring you see outside of the box in the photo is from the first championship when the Bulls defeated the Lakers. Grant and company beat Hall of Famers in Magic Johnson, James Worthy, and a young Vlade Divac 4 games to 1.
  • 1992 Ring Is the ring that spells out BULLS. Grant's team beat the Trail Blazers 4 games to 2.The Blazers has the best record the West, winning 57 games behind future HOF'er, Clyde Drexler, but they were no match for the Bulls in the Finals.
  • 1993 Ring Represents the THREE-PEAT! In 1993, the Phoenix Suns had a better record than the Bulls and featured league MVP Charles Barkley. When it all mattered, Grant's Bulls came out on top 4 games to 2.
  • 2001 Ring Is from the Lakers victory over the Philadelphia 76'ers 4 games to 1. The 76'ers won Game 1 in overtime but could not keep pace with a team that had Shaq and Kobe.

Each ring comes with a letter of provenance directly from Horace Grant himself!

Grant scored a total of 221 points in the NFA Finals when his team won the championship. These four rings are quite rare and are the chance of a lifetime to own a real ring from a player on historic teams. The value for the each Bulls ring is $100,000 and up and the Lakers ring is valued at $40,000 and up.

If you're looking for a super high-end, one-of-a-kind piece for your collection, you'll want to bid on rings! How rare is an NBA championship ring? Only 12 players suited for for the 1991 NBA Finals. You could own one of 12 to exist, and wear the same exact ring that Michael Jordan sports.

The auction runs from August 20th to August 21st. You can view the entire Summer Platinum Night Sports Auction HERE
