Just Collect had the honor of showcasing our vintage cards at the Collectors Showcase in the Jackie Robinson Museum! Take a peek at our behind-the-scenes setup as we helped support the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
Jackie Robinson was a hero on and off the field. Breaking baseball's color barrier in 1947, Robinson endured things we could never imagine. Through it all, Robinson became on of the greatest baseball players to step onto the diamond! Starting with the Rookie of the Year in 1947, Jackie went on to win the NL MVP in 1949, and a World Series championship with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955. The six-time All-Star was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.
The Jackie Robinson Foundation held the Collectors Showcase at the Jackie Robinson Museum. Several panel discussions regarding vintage cards took place, artifacts and memorabilia were on display, and a raffle was held with proceeds going to the Jackie Robinson Foundation. A highlight of the event was the new Jackie Robinson-inspired mystery boxes. The mystery box has one graded card of a player who had a connection to Jackie. Graded Jackie Robinson cards were also possible.
