The National Sports Collectors Convention JUST started and we have already purchased incredible cards! From a RARE Babe Ruth card to a complete set of 1996 Topps Chrome basketball with a Kobe Bryant rookie, here are the early pickups we made.
Just Collect booths 301 and 303 are HOT at the National Sports Collectors Convention here in Chicago! We are buying and selling collections all show as well as giving away $100 EVERY HOUR. Only two days into the show, we purchased amazing items! Here is a glimpse into what we proudly picked up.
This is the first card to feature Babe Ruth as a New York Yankee! The legendary slugger played for the Boston Red Sox from 1914-19. Ruth is more recognized in the pinstripes where he etched his name into record books from 1920-34. The Great Bambino was already in the set as a Red Sox when printing was underway, so an updated version was issued with him as a Yankee. Below, you can see this card with Ruth in his Boston uniform but the team name is the Yankees.
A gentleman came to our booths because he saw our 1952 Bowman Tom Landry card graded PSA 6 in our online store. This collector had a group of 1935 National Chicle football cards he wanted to sell. The National is the place to make a deal! We proudly purchased these vintage treasures.
This 1939 Play Ball rookie card of Ted Williams made our owner, Leighton, stop in his tracks! After recently purchasing a collection of Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio cards, Leighton couldn't walk away from another one of these beautiful cards.
Just Collect specializes in vintage cards, but we do buy select modern cards and sets including 1996 Topps Chrome basketball. While Chrome cards are a hobby standard today, this 1996 set was the debut of Chrome! What a rookie class to feature, too - Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, and the top rookie in the set, Kobe Bryant.
