1969 TOPPS BASKETBALL SET BREAK

After almost 10 years out of the game, the iconic Topps brand began making basketball cards again in 1969. There had been no Topps hoops cards since the 1957 set. When you come back to the card scene after nearly a decade away, you have to come back BIG, right? This 1969 Topps basketball set is nicknamed the "Tall Boys." Every card is 2 ½" x 4 11/16" in size. For comparison, a standard card size is 2 ½" x 3 ½". The anchor of the set is a rookie card of the legendary Lew Alcindor (later known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). Here are some highlights of this amazing set:
