History was made this week when an Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani card was sold for $2.16 Million!
In 2024, Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani were named league MVPs. Judge took home the AL honor as a New York Yankee and Ohtani the NL winner for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Taking the field in 2025, both players wore special MLB patches on the backs of their jerseys. The official MLB logo is red, white, and blue. Judge and Ohtani's patches were GOLD; fitting for MVPs.
Topps teamed up with Nike and MLB to make a 1/1 (the only one made!) card that features the game-worn gold logo patches from both Judge and Ohtani along with their autographs. Judge's patch is from a game on May 30th, 2024; a game he homered in against the Dodgers! Ohtani's patch is from May 26th, 2024; he homered against the Guardians.
One lucky person pulled the card from All Pro Sports Cards in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The card went to auction at Fanatics, and after 52 bids, the final price was $2.16 million!

The $2.16 million price tag makes this card one of the most expensive of all-time. Just five other baseball cards in history have been sold for more than this treasure!
