PSA Increased Grading Turnaround Times for Your Cards

High Demand Causes Increase in Grading Times

PSA has recently updated their turnaround times due to an increased demand for card grading. If you're going to grade your cards, be aware of this new schedule.

If you're familiar with grading cards, you know that PSA is one of, if not the top grading company in our hobby. To keep up with the high demand of grading submissions, PSA just announced an increase in the turnaround times to grade cards.

Estimated turnaround times:

Value was 45 business days and is now 75 business days
Value Bulk was 65 business days and is now 95 business days
Regular was 15 business days and is now 20 business days
Express was 10 business days and is now 15 business days

In total, 10 different grading options had turnaround times increased. Above are the services we think you'd use most frequently. To see all services and turn around times, please check the PSA site HERE.

When grading a card for your personal collection, the turnaround time isn't much of an issue. However, if you're looking to time your card for sale, you'll need to plan accordingly. Example: If you send a baseball card out to be graded now in hopes to sell it when baseball fever is back in April, you should know that the Value option has increased by 30 business days. The same holds true if you want to brings cards to a show to buy or sell. Example: The Philly Show starts December 12th. Today is November 21st. The Express option of what used to be 10 business days is now 15 business days and you may not get your cards back in time if you mailed out today!

SHIP your collection

If you choose to mail your cards for an appraisal, we will evaluate your cards for FREE still. If you choose not to sell the cards, we'll ship them back shipping fees paid by us! We can offer our FedEx account with 2-day shipping, fully insured, all covered by us. Simply contact the office to set up this option.
