With the ball about to drop in Times Square this weekend, we thought about all of the amazing collections we have been lucky to purchase in 2022. Taking a trip down memory lane, here are the TOP 3 collections that come to mind as we gear up for a spectacular 2023.
The "Arizona Goudey Find" consists of 800 vintage Goudey cards from the 1930's. Included in the collection is 22 Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig cards. Yes, twenty-two. Saying that out loud today is still sounds as nearly impossible as it did when this collection was discovered in 2022. In over 25 + years of buying and selling some of the biggest collections in the Country, we've never seen this many Ruth and Gehrig cards in the same collection. Why so many? HOW so many? You have to see the collection to believe it, and the best part - our owner, Leighton, was slow-rolled on these Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig cards! You can see the Arizona Goudey Find HERE.
Stored inside a 51-pound black box were six complete sets of baseball cards from the 1950's. The top two sets in the box are 1951 Bowman and 1952 Topps, each holding iconic Mickey Mantle rookie cards. When the original owner, Tim, was a kid, his mom threw out his card collection. Stop us if you've heard that story before! Tim's stepdad heard what had happened and took him to the library to look at HIS collection. Mantle, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Ted Williams and more! Oh. My. You can see the Black Box and all it's glory HERE.
How rare are 1910 PC796 baseball post cards? PSA has only graded 53 cards from this set - ever. When Berkley walked into our office with a stack of 20 cards including Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner, we could hardly believe our eyes. Found in a secretary desk back in 1979, Berkley knew only that the cards were "old" and chose not to part with the find. The Internet wasn't invented so he could simply check Google or ask Alexa. After storing the cards in a family lock box for 43 years, he brought the collection to Just Collect. Here is a video of the PC796 collection:
After many years of operating in Somerset, NJ, we moved the Just Collect office to Millburn, NJ. Here we also have a retail store for you to shop at, pick up vintage cards, modern cards, packs, and supplies. To help us open the new office, New York Knicks legend, John Starks, stopped by! Mr. Starks signed autographs for you, posed for photos, and opened some cards. You can see our Grand Opening story HERE.
THANK YOU for making 2022 special. We truly thank you for choosing Just Collect to sell your collections. If you're looking to sell your collection, we are here for you. If you'd like to stop by the retail store, our doors our open!
296 Millburn Ave in Millburn, NJ

If you can make the trip here like the son from my hometown did for this collection- we can make a deal at the office. We once met a father-son duo that drove eight hours from Virginia to meet us to sell a Michael Jordan rookie card stored in Tupperware since 1986 - great read here.
We keep a LIST of the card shows we'll be attending. Come stop by the Just Collect table and chat.
If you have a valuable collection and want us to come to you, we'll hop on the next plane out. We recently took a trip to California to purchase a collection that included three Jackie Robinson 1948 Leaf rookie cards that you can read about here.
We have another location in New York you can meet us at; read all the information here.
If you choose to mail your cards for an appraisal, we will evaluate your cards for FREE still. If you choose not to sell the cards, we'll ship them back with shipping fees paid by us! We can offer our FedEx account with 2-day shipping, fully insured, all covered by us. Simply contact the office to set up this option.
We've run into a wide range of people and collections over the last 25 years. Although Just Collect is known for buying vintage sports cards and especially vintage baseball cards, we are also extremely interested in buying non-sports cards, too!
Every collection and every collector is different and we treat EVERY collection with the respect and attention that we show for our own collections.
