What's better than pulling a pack-fresh Joe Montana rookie card from a 1981 Topps football pack? Pulling TWO Montana rookies! That just happened during the Just Collect live breaks. Check out the video of this incredible rip.
With the NFL season about to kick off, we discounted our 1981 Topps football 12-card cello packs from $125 to $75 per pack. Charles Perry took advantage of the sale and picked up a personal pack; every card in the break was his. When J5 began to break the pack, the goal was a card #216, Joe Montana's rookie card. The four-time Super Bowl champion, two-time MVP, Hall of Famer is THE key card in the set. Then, the impossible happened.
The second card in the pack was a Montana rookie! J5 and Charles didn't have long to celebrate as the tenth card in the pack was a SECOND MONTANA.

The first card was pretty off-centered, but the second card has much better centering. We know these cards won't grade a PSA 10 (valued around $50,000) or a PSA 9 (valued around $3,000), even a PSA 6 is valued around $170; Charles did alright! Money aside, pulling TWO Montana rookie cards in the same pack is a story we'll always remember. Congrats, Charles!
