Have you ever wanted to own an original T206 tobacco card from 1909-1911? We're talking about the iconic baseball card set where the famous Honus Wagner card is from! There are 100 different T206 cards available in a new Hit Random card break available for you, and included is a Ty Cobb card. Read how you can take home one of these vintage treasures.
We're proud to team up with our sister company,
T206 HIT RANDOM WITH 100 CARDS
The T206 baseball set is one of the most iconic and desired card sets in our hobby. These baseball cards were produced between 1909 and 1911, and were placed in various brands of tobacco. On the back of each card you'll find the advertisement of the tobacco the card came in. Imagine not buying your baseball cards in a pack like you did as a kid or continue to do today; cards were in cigarettes and tobacco pouches! Instead of reading the stats on the back of each card, you were reading advertisements. The entire set contains 524 cards, 76 of which are of Hall of Fame players.
Our sister company, Vintage Breaks, is offering you spots in a Hit Random that includes 100 T206 cards! A "hit random" is a type of card break. You may be familiar with the term "break" as it refers to opening, or breaking, a sealed pack of cards and perhaps you've heard of breaking up a complete set. The "hit random" break is a style in which these 100 T206 cards will be given out in random order to every person in the break. This allows for each spot to have the same odds for you to take home the "hits" of the random. As you can see above; there are some BIG hits!
The pictures you see today are a few of the exact cards that will be in the Hit Random. Above you'll see a the Chief Bender, Ty Cobb, and Tris Speaker cards. All three Hall of Famer cards have been professionally graded by SGC. Look at the color scheme in the sky behind Ty Cobb as he holds his bat in the middle card; fascinating color for a card produced over 100 years ago! Cobb had some stellar seasons when the T206 cards were produced. In 1909, he won the Triple Crown by leading the league in batting average, home runs, and RBI. He followed that up in 1910 with a .382 batting average. In 1911, Cobb won the MVP award. Talk about a HIT in this break!
As there are 100 T206 cards in the break, only 100 spots in the break will be sold - this ensures that you will take home a card from the set. The list of names is always randomized LIVE on the show as the break occurs; you have the same chance as everyone else in the break to land the cards you desire. The list of cards will be randomized and the list of names will be randomized.
Every spot you purchase will bring a T206 card set to your personal collection. When you hold a piece of hobby history in your hands, just think - that card was made when you could rent a three-bedroom house for $15.00 a month. You can't find a pack of baseball cards for 15 dollars let alone a house!
