We love taking you behind-the-scenes at the National Sports Collectors Convention. The National has the rarest, most valuable, and unique items from all over the world. You can imagine there is a TON to see! There is no shortage 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie cards, 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie cards, and 1909-11 T206 Hall of Famers, but we love the truly unique items that ONLY the National brings out! What did we find at the show? A trio of sealed 1977 Topps rack packs that are still joined together.
We wish that 1977 Topps football rack packs were still 59 cents. Aside from that, take a close look at those three packs - they are all still joined together!
A rack pack of cards was meant to hang from a peg board or end cap at your local store. A hole was cut into the top of the cardboard header and the pack slid right onto the peg. The packs hung on a rack. Rack packs were born. We're sure you've seen plenty of rack packs, but we have never seen a trio of rack packs never cut apart like this!
