Three rack packs joined together? We need to know why! We're here at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago and are very curious as to why these three 1977 Topps football rack packs are each still connected. Check out the photo and let us know what YOU think.

We love taking you behind-the-scenes at the National Sports Collectors Convention. The National has the rarest, most valuable, and unique items from all over the world. You can imagine there is a TON to see! There is no shortage 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie cards, 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie cards, and 1909-11 T206 Hall of Famersbut we love the truly unique items that ONLY the National brings out! What did we find at the show? A trio of sealed 1977 Topps rack packs that are still joined together.

We wish that 1977 Topps football rack packs were still 59 cents. Aside from that, take a close look at those three packs - they are all still joined together!

A rack pack of cards was meant to hang from a peg board or end cap at your local store. A hole was cut into the top of the cardboard header and the pack slid right onto the peg. The packs hung on a rack. Rack packs were born. We're sure you've seen plenty of rack packs, but we have never seen a trio of rack packs never cut apart like this!

Just Collect has 50 years of experience buying and selling vintage cards. We have purchased over 50 million dollars in collections! Do you know what we've never seen? Uncut rack packs.

Why do YOU think these rack packs are still joined together? Are these test rack packs from the Topps factory? Did an employee receive the special rack packs as a gift in 1971? Salesman samples? Or, maybe a Topps employee opted for a little cat nap while the cutting machine was plugging away...  Let us know in the comments; we'd love to know why you believe these rack packs are still joined.

We are BUYING sealed rack packs! If you have unopened vintage packs like these 1971 rack packs, Just Collect is buying! Whether you have wax packs, rack packs, cello packs, or a sealed box of vintage cards that you're interested in selling, you can reach out any time for a
