1941 Play Ball Ted Williams Pulled from Just Collect Vintage Repack

Mystery Rip Vault Pack has Iconic Ted Williams Inside for Customer!
  • July 25, 2026

During our live breaks last night, a collector pulled a 1941 Play Ball Ted Williams card from our mystery Rip Vault repacks! Watch the video, check out the card, and see how you can take home our next mystery pack.

When Steve B got a spot in our blind hit random, he had no idea which card was hiding our Rip Vault mystery repack. Neither did we! You can imagine our surprise when a HUGE card was pulled from the pack live during our breaks.

The break is called "Blind Hit Random" as the checklist of cards is not revealed. Most of our Hit Random breaks have a checklist and photos each card possible in the break. When a Hit Random break sells out, we then randomize the list of spots and cards live on screen. However, we had such a great response to our exclusive Rip Vault mystery packs, we offered a Blind Hit Random!

In total, 9 spots were available in the Blind Hit Random. Our owner, Leighton, carefully curated the vintage cards to be placed inside the mystery packs. After all 9 spots were filled, J5 went live on our breaks to randomize the list and reveal the cards for each person in the break. Not only did no one in the break know which cards were inside the packs - J5 and all of our other breakers had no idea either!

As J5 opened pack six for Steve B, this happened:

A 1941 Play Ball Ted Williams graded SGC 4! Ted Williams had a historical season in 1941; he finished the year with a .406 batting average. Along with the average, Williams also led the league in home runs and RBI to win the Triple Crown. At just 22 years old, The Splendid Splinter put up a batting average that still hasn't been matched in over 80 years. The three-time MVP and Hall of Famer pops on this Play Ball card. Look at the bright color of the background and the shadow behind Teddy Ballgame.

Congratulations to Steve B for adding this beauty into his collection! Steve turned his $475 spot purchase into a card valued at several thousand dollars, and one to show off when people come to visit.

Everyone in the break received a card! Each spot in the break guaranteed one mystery pack, and all packs had a vintage card. Todd landed the Catfish Hunter rookie. Jason now owns a 1966 Topps Brooks Robinson. Steve B purchased the rest of the packs and aside from the Ted Williams, he also pulled a rookie card of Reggie Jackson!

If you're near New York City and would like to meet in a public place, our owner, Leighton, would be happy to meet you; read all the information here.

  • SHIP your collection
