1952 TOPPS BASEBALL SET BREAK

New call-to-action

A set break is a type of card break in which full or partial sets are broken up into spots. Each spot represents one card. This particular set break has 311 total cards from the 1952 Topps set, and includes cards numbered 1 through 311. From card number 1, Andy Pafko, to card number 311, Mickey Mantle, each card in that run is included. With only 311 cards only 311 spots are available. Each spot you purchase guarantees you one card! When all 311 spots are purchased, Vintage Breaks will randomize the list of names live during their breaking show. The number you land on after the randomization correlates to the card you take home. For example: if after the random, your name is first on the list, you'll receive card number one. If your name is in spot number 261, you own card 261 - Willie Mays! This may be one of few times you'll ever want to be last on a list - Mickey Mantle is card number 311.

This particular handful of cards you see above are graded by SGC. From Bob Feller down to Larry Dobb along with Willie Mays in the center, these are the exact cards in the break! Of course, this is the star of the show:

New call-to-action

This Mickey Mantle card is graded by PSA and is valued around $30,000 in this condition! Have you ever wondered why the Mickey Mantle card is so valuable? When Topps released their cards in 1952, they did so in different series. Imagine batches of cards. Early in the baseball season, Topps released cards numbered 1-80 as Series 1. Cards numbered 81-130 were in Series 2, and so on. The idea was to keep kids coming into stores and purchasing packs all year long rather than completing the full set in April and not buying cards in October. Sounds like a great idea, right? Unfortunately, by the time the higher-numbered cards were hitting store shelves, kids were interested in buying the new football cards and not the baseball cards. Not being able to sell the high-numbered cards, Topps famously dumped the cards in the Ocean! Guess which player has his card in the high numbers. Yep - Mickey Mantle.

If you would like your chance and landing this exact Mickey Mantle card, you can grab a spot in the Vintage Breaks set break now for only $249.50! Grab you spot right here:
