The 1953 Topps baseball set is incredibly beautiful. Each card features a spectacular painting of the player. While your eyes are drawn to the iconic Jackie Robinson and Mickey Mantle cards, one of the most coveted cards in the hobby is Satchel Paige. This card is the only card Topps included Paige on during his playing days. Kudos if you spotted the error on the front of Paige's card; Topps spelled his first name wrong! You'd think Topps would have had plenty of time to pick up the spelling of Satchel given he set the record for being the oldest player in MLB history. Paige was 46 in 1953, and pitched in a game at the age of 58 in 1965!
