Sunday night marks the close of Just Collect's initial offering of vintage opera photos and autographs. If you haven't seen them yet it is an amazing assortment featuring some of the biggest stars of the early 20th century American Opera scene. Each of the thirty pieces originate from the private collection of a long time fan who began gathering them in the early 1940's and our man was very thorough. Gladys Swarthout, Lawrence Tibbett, Eleanor Steber, Richard Crooks, and Helen Jepson are just a few of the names you'll find personally penned on these incredible vintage shots. Of special note though is the gorgeous signed photo of a young Rise Stevens, the Met star who passed last week at the age of 99. If you're a fan of the opera then you need no further encouraging but for our core of sports-related collectors, its worth pointing out that vintage opera material has been surging during the past 18 months.
