Heisman Winner and NFL Quarterback Doug Flutie Has Batcave With Batmobile

Former Football Star Has Next-Level Batman Collection
  • May 16, 2021

You expect former athletes to own incredible pieces of memorabilia that we can only dream to have.  When imagining a star's collection, you picture jerseys, balls, awards, etc., right?  Doug Flutie, former NFL QB and Heisman winner broke that mold and took his "man cave" next level with not sports items, but an awesome Batman-style BATCAVE.  There is even a real Batmobile you can see.

Doug Flutie had an impressive football career.  The former QB won the 1984 Heisman trophy as the top collegiate player in the country.   Flutie played in the Canadian Football League where he won three championships (known as The Gray Cup) and three league MVP awards.  Playing in the NFL, Flutie also succeeded and even made the Pro Bowl in 1998.  Over his player years, Flutie racked up some awesome awards he could prominently display in an a Man Cave I'd drool over.  However, Flutie went a different route with his memorabilia room; he went with an actual Batcave!

From January 12, 1966March 14, 1968 Batman staring Adam West and Burt Ward ran on ABC.  The Detective Comic legend hit the TV screen were we got a glimpse of a slick-looking Batmobile.   Originally a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, the producers asked George Barris to work some TV magic and build a real car depicted from the comic books.

When doing an interview with The Camera Guys with NBC Sports Boston, the hosts asked what else besides football is Flutie's passion.  During the interview, Flutie took the hosts over to his garage and revealed a LEGIT Batcave, equip with a 1966 Batmobile he actually drives.

My description cannot do Flutie's Batcave ...justice (see what I did there...).  Check out this video:
