PSA Does Grade and Authenticate Ticketmaster Tickets

Just Collect Is Buying Tickets!
  • March 23, 2022

The ticket market is HOT! It seems like every day a new price record falls for graded and authenticated tickets. One of the biggest questions we hear regarding graded tickets is "does PSA grade Ticketmaster tickets?" Yes, they do! We'll show you the proof. Just Collect is also buying tickets!

The ticket market is scorching right now. Tickets to rare events be they sports, concerts, or events in history are setting price records you wouldn't believe. Perhaps you missed the story about a ticket from the debut of Michael Jordan being sold for $468,000! Close to a half of a million dollars for a ticket from 1984. We are happy to educate you not only on how to grade cards but we'd love to also help answer a burning question about graded tickets, too. Does PSA grade and authenticate Ticketmaster tickets? YEP!

While it's nice to have full, colorful tickets like this Super Bowl 54 ticket to grade and display, or a 2010 NBA Finals ticket with Kobe Bryant on the front, we know MOST tickets we've ever handled came from Ticketmaster. Whether we ordered tickets by phone to see Aerosmith and waited by the mail box for delivery or we stood outside an arena for hours (hours...) only to sit in the upper level for a Monday Night Raw wrestling event, we were always given a Ticketmaster ticket. Pre-Internet days we carried that ticket in our pocket and the employees at the gate or door would rip the end and hand you back your portion to find your seat. Will PSA grade the generic Ticketmaster tickets, though?

Checking the PSA website you can read "PSA will begin authenticating and grading tickets from Ticketmaster, TicketTron, Tickets.com and other select 3rd party ticket providers for sporting events. Special designations may be added to labels to distinguish 3rd party ticket providers." Here is an example of a Ticketmaster ticket graded by PSA on eBay of Travis Kelce's NFL debut. This auction is for a Ticketmaster ticket for a Mike Tyson fight and the ticket is autographed.

Below is a ticket we love! When Michael Jordan played professional baseball during his retirement from the NBA, he cracked his first home run on July 30th, 1994 for the Birmingham Barons. This is a PSA-graded stub from the game:

While Tickmaster tickets and stubs may not look as pretty as a full season ticket or special event ticket, some may still be valuable! Full tickets (unused/never torn) tickets are usually worth more than ticket stubs. Before the days of mobile entry, paper tickets were torn, discarded, washed in your pants pocket, or maybe stored in a shoebox and lost over time. That WWE Monday Night Raw ticket you waited three hours in line for to see a match between Kane and Mankind lost forever... PSA has begun to grade these third-party tickets for us and we're happy to see it!

We ARE BUYING tickets! Just Collect is interested in purchasing tickets and ticket stubs from sporting events, concerts, and other famous events. If you're looking to sell a ticket, please reach out to us any time. Maybe you didn't lose that shoebox of memories and a ticket to LeBron James' NBA debut or the 1996 ALCS game between the Yankees and Oriels AKA the "Jeffrey Maier Catch" game, we'd love to hear from you.
