I once intercepted a pass from two-time Super Bowl MVP, Eli Manning. Sort of ... When thinking about my favorite piece of NFL memorabilia as we near the big game on Sunday between the Bengals and Rams, I want  to share a story about a funny moment between my wife, Eli Manning and myself. For the Super Bowl each year I love to share some of my favorite NFL collections Just Collect has purchased over the years. When thinking about which collection to talk about for this Super Bowl, my wife, Darcy, reminded me of the the time when Eli Manning tried to throw a pass to her, and I picked it off; she was not pleased.

Darcy and I both met Eli Manning a few times when the Giants held training camp in Albany, NY. We both worked as radio DJs and our stations often did events with the team.  Eli was also very kind to take some photos and chat before or after practice. One day Darcy brought a football, and tossed it to Eli. Manning signed the ball and threw a dart back to the Mrs. Standing next to her, I did what all nice husbands would do - I INTERCEPTED THAT PASS!  

That's right - I, and I alone caught a pass from Eli Manning and can always tell that story.

OK, so the truth is I really thought Darcy wasn't going to catch the ball and I had no intentions of picking the pass off; it was instinct. 

Darcy still has the ball and doesn't let me live it down that I caught her pass from Eli. A few years later, she paid me back by catching a home run baseball during MLB Home Run Derby; that's always been my lifelong dream.  I'll save that story for another day...
