A 1976 Topps Walter Payton rookie card graded PSA 10 is being randomly inserted into a pack of the new 2026 Topps Heritage football! Just Collect has card breaks to chase this iconic card.

Earlier this year, Topps announced they would be inserting legendary cards into their new baseball products, including a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card. With football season in full swing, Topps is bringing back the vintage card hunt with their new 2026 Topps Heritage product. Inside one of the Heritage packs will be a 1976 Topps Walter Payton rookie card graded PSA 10!

Walter Payton played for the Chicago Bears from 1975-87. The NFL MVP in 1977 won the Super Bowl in 1986 and retired as the all-time leader in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns! Nicknamed "Sweetness", few did it better on the gridiron than Payton. The key Walter Payton card is his 1976 Topps rookie card #148, and the last sale of a PSA 10 was for $80,520.00! Given that value, Topps is putting a redemption card inside of a Heritage pack rather than the actual card; you don't want that card getting damaged in a box!

2026 Topps Heritage football features current players on the 1976 Topps design. Just Collect has live card breaks of Heritage in both hobby box and blaster box formats. Maybe YOUR pack will have the Payton rookie!
