This week we are proud to offer an incredibly clean 2000 Topps Traded Autograph rookie card of reigning Triple Crown and AL MVP winner Miguel Cabrera!
In the 2012 season, Cabrera became the first Triple Crown winner in the major leagues since Carl Yastrzemski won the HR, RBI and Batting Title in 1967! And Miggy is on the cusp of becoming the first player to ever win back-to-back Triple Crowns. At the time of this posting, Miguel leads the American League comfortably in Batting Average and RBI’s and trails only Chris Davis by 4 Home Runs to become the ONLY player in the history of all of baseball to accomplish the feat in back-to-back seasons!!! This example is conservatively graded NM/MT. The obverse is virtually flawless and presents as MINT to GEM MINT. These are not terms that we use often. The corners are sharp and pointed and do not exhibit wear even under 10x magnification which is quite amazing for this full bleed and darker edged issue.
The edges are clean and smooth , exhibiting no chipping or dings. The signature is crisp and bold and is centered almost perfectly across the card and presents as a 10. The reverse is equally as impressive featuring stunning centering. The only flaw to this incredible exemplar is that the upper right corner on the reverse presents a slight lift. With GEM MINT examples selling in excess of $4000 and MINT examples selling in excess of $2000, this card represents an incredible opportunity for the conservative buyer.
