"Pistol Pete" revolutionized the game of basketball when he came into the league in 1970. No one had ever seen the flair he possessed with every dribble and pass he made. His creative offensive talent is still considered to be the greatest in the history of the game. Within a few short years, he became one of the NBA’s best talents, leading the Hawks to the playoffs, earning All-Star selections, and NBA First Team honors. He also led the NBA in scoring in 1977. While at LSU, Maravich scored 3,667 points, while averaging an astronomical 44.2 ppg, both of which are NCAA records. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall Of Fame in 1987. The demand for Pistol Pete throughout the industry is higher than ever, as everyone knows he had a talent like no other, and sadly was taken from us too early. As you can imagine, his rookie card being his most desirable piece to collect. The 1970 Topps set, known as "tall boys", are exceptionally tough to find in a high grade, which is what makes this example so special. It exhibits sharp corners, vivid coloring, and near perfect centering. This is a rare chance to own a high end, Hall Of Fame rookie, in blazing Mint condition!
