The Becket Industry Summit just wrapped day one of a three-day experience, and we took away some great hobby news for you!   This blog is sponsored by [**JUST COLLECT **](https://www.justcollect.com/)where we specialize in buying vintage cards, autographs, and collections. If you have any of [THESE](https://blog.justcollect.com/just-collect-is-ready-to-buy-your-sports-cards) cards, give us a shout; we'd be interested in buying. **CELEBRITY SUPRISE:** Mark Wahlberg surprisingly opened the Summit!  Mark's kids are in the hobby now and have their own channel, the [Card Boyz](https://www.instagram.com/thecardboyz/?hl=en).  Mark was in attendance, under a fake name (still unknown) so we don't bug him, but great to see an A lister enjoy the hobby with us. ![Open](https://blog.justcollect.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Open.jpg?width=414&name=Open.jpg) **Mike Singletary:** Our keynote speaker, Mike Singletary, will grace the next cover of Beckett Vintage Magazine. Despite the front-page ad, the NFL Hall of Famer doesn't actually collect any memorabilia.  The only thing Singletary does treasure is good books; he'll cut out words of wisdom that speak to him from books.  Mike's reading suggestion: 212 The Extra Degree.   Singletary was on-hand to motivate us not as collectors but as humans; the man can speak.  Attributing his best advice to his mother, Mike's mom once told him: you'll never see all of life's things has to offer you if you give up now - greatness is in you; you just need to find it. **Panini**** Black Friday Pack Updates:** NO BLACK FRIDAY PACKS.  One of the most frequently-asked questions had sad results. Due to Covid and challenges faced, Panini decided to not do the Black Friday pack promotion this year.  The company will try for something in the fourth quarter, though **eBay Sales** We know the sports industry has BOOMED like no other time in 2020, but just how much?  Look at these figures eBay provided today: Basketball card went up 676% 😮  We know that Zion and Ja really pushed sales this year, but that much - wow! **FANATICS ** We were able to chat with a few representatives from Fanatics that ensure us that Covid has not slowed down getting new autographs or game-used items. There are restrictions on SEND-IN items, though; only wholesale BULK submissions may be sent in. Aaron Judge will be signing in the coming months with new images from the playoffs, so a steady stream if new items won't be an issue if you're looking. **MORE UPDATES** We'll be providing more updates after Day 2, including notes on Ultra Pro (if you need holders, you know how they have been in short supply), new products from LEAF, even more news from Panini, Becket grading, and an interview with NBA Hall of Famer, Isaiah Thomas!  Keep an eye our blogs tomorrow, and all of our social media: - [Just Collect Blogs](https://blog.justcollect.com/) - [Just Collect Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/JustCollect) - [Vintage Breaks Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/VintageBreaks459) - [Vintage Breaks Twitter](https://twitter.com/vintage_breaks) - [Beckett Industry Summit](https://blog.justcollect.com/tag/beckett-industry-summit) ### Search ### Recent Posts [![1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain Rookie and Mickey Mantle Cards Purchased](https://blog.justcollect.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Photo%20Jun%2009%202026%2c%2011%2041%2008%20AM.jpg?width=767&name=Photo%20Jun%2009%202026,%2011%2041%2008%20AM.jpg) ](https://blog.justcollect.com/1961-fleer-wilt-chamberlain-rookie-and-mickey-mantle-cards-purchased) [1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain Rookie and Mickey Mantle Cards Purchased](https://blog.justcollect.com/1961-fleer-wilt-chamberlain-rookie-and-mickey-mantle-cards-purchased) [![Stay Steps From the National Card Show: Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O'Hare](https://blog.justcollect.com/hs-fs/hubfs/National-2.jpg?width=767&name=National-2.jpg) ](https://blog.justcollect.com/stay-steps-from-the-national-card-show-hilton-rosemont/chicago-ohare) [Stay Steps From the National Card Show: Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O'Hare](https://blog.justcollect.com/stay-steps-from-the-national-card-show-hilton-rosemont/chicago-ohare) [![Beyond the Cards: Things to Do in Chicago During the National Card Show](https://blog.justcollect.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Dinner.jpg?width=767&name=Dinner.jpg) ](https://blog.justcollect.com/beyond-the-cards-things-to-do-in-chicago-during-the-national-card-show) [Beyond the Cards: Things to Do in Chicago During the National Card Show](https://blog.justcollect.com/beyond-the-cards-things-to-do-in-chicago-during-the-national-card-show)
