The iconic baseball card could be yours! A 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card is available in this new 1952 Topps baseball near set break. See how you can join this break today!
Have you ever dreamed of owning a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card? Perhaps the most famous baseball card could be yours at a fraction of the value! We are excited to team up with our sister company, , to bring you a 1952 Topps baseball near set break.
A set break is a type of card break in which full or partial sets are broken up into spots. Each spot represents one card. This particular set break has 300 total cards from the 1952 Topps set, and includes card #311, Mickey Mantle! The three-time MVP, seven-time World Series Champion, and New York Yankees legend is on THE card to own - a true centerpiece of your collection.
With only 300 cards only 300 spots are available. Each spot you purchase guarantees you one card! When all 300 spots are purchased, Vintage Breaks will randomize the list of names live during their breaking show. The number you land on after the randomization correlates to the card you take home. For example: if after the random, your name is first on the list, you'll receive card number one. If your name is in spot number 261, you own card 261 - Willie Mays! This may be one of few times you'll ever want to be last on a list - Mickey Mantle is card number 311.
The story behind Mantle's rookie card is amazing! In 1952, Topps released their cards in series. For example, cards numbered 1-80 were "series one" and cards numbered 81-25 were "series two." Cards were released in stages during the year. The idea was to keep kids purchasing packs all year long rather than completing a full set in April. Novel idea, but when the last series, series six, hit shelves, kids were buying football cards and had no interested in the baseball cards. Unable to sell the sixth series, cards were eventually dumped into the Ocean! Card #311, Mickey Mantle, is in that scarce sixth series.
So many other stars and legends are available in this break! How about the rookie card of Willie Mays! Mays made 24 All-Star Teams and is considered the best all-around player in history. Mays played stellar defense and earned 12 Gold Glove awards. He could run well and led the league in stolen bases four times. Mays carried a big bat and led the league home runs four times!
Ready for your chance at history?
Travel back in time to a day when $1.25 could get you into a Yankees game. you played with Mr. Potato Head and Pez, and I Love Lucy was on the TV.
