You Can Hold a Babe Ruth Game-Used Bat at the 2023 National

Photo-Op of a Lifetime at the National Sports Collectors Convention
  • July 13, 2023

You have heard legendary stories on how heavy the bat Babe Ruth would swing as he knocked his 714 career home runs out of the park was. Perhaps you've seen a Ruth bat behind the glass at the Baseball Hall of Fame, dreaming of picking up the historic piece of lumber. Your chance to actually pick up and HOLD a Babe Ruth game-used bat is going to happen at the National!

The World Series of Baseball Cards is just a few days away. The 2023 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago is shaping up to be an all-time event. The show of shows! We are going to be at the National in the Just Collect booth #2102 buying collections and offering rare, vintage cards for sale. If you've ever dreamed about owning a card, an autograph, or a piece of memorabilia, it will be at the National. Last year, the 12.6 million-dollar 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card was on display as was the "last" touch down ball thrown by Tom Brady. This year, you have an incredible opportunity - you can hold a game-used Babe Ruth baseball bat

Babe Ruth Bat

Babe Ruth is the most famous baseball player of all-time. The Babe hasn't stepped on a baseball field since May 30th, 1935, but you know his name. If you have never watched a single baseball game, you still recognize the name of Babe Ruth. We are always buying Babe Ruth baseball cards here at Just Collect. We recently discovered and purchased a collection of over 800 cards from the 1930's included 22 different cards from Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Just Collect has proudly purchased a baseball signed by both Ruth and Gehrig that was owned by their former Yankees teammate! If you're at the National and are interested in selling or purchasing a Babe Ruth card, we can't wait to see you at booth #2102.

After you see us at Just Collect, you'll want to head over to booth #1108 and see our friends at Memory Lane Inc. Between 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Thursday-Sunday, you have the opportunity to game-used Babe Ruth bat from the 1922 season! The National just posted the info on their Facebook that you can see HERE. The Baseball Hall of Fame posted that a Babe bat weighs 38 ounces. The weight not seem much, but Yankees slugger and American League home run record holder, Aaron Judge, uses a bat that weighs 33 ounces. Judge is 6'7" and weighs 282 pounds. Oh. My. You can bet that we will be trying to lift the Babe's bat at the National!
