Leighton Shows Rare Shoeless Joe Jackson

MLB stopped by the Just Collect booth at the 2023 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago! Alex Giaimo, host of the show Carded, talked with Leighton about a very rare Shoeless Joe Jackson card.

The 2023 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago was amazing. We started the week off by interviewing Derek Jeter. Our friend and Topps artist, Andy Friedman, came by. We also appraised and purchased great collections. One of our favorite moments was when MLB came to the booth!

Alex Giaimo asked Leighton about a our very rare 1909 E-90-1 American Caramel Shoeless Joe Jackson we offered at the show. This card is from the West Virginia Attic Find. A gentleman in West Virginia was cleaning the attic of his home while in the midst of renovating. He found an album near the chimney that had water damage and soot. However, the cards inside were intact. One of those cards was this rare Shoeless Joe Jackson. With the National being in Chicago, we had to bring the Jackson as he was a member of the 1919 Blacksox Scandal.

If you choose to mail your cards for an appraisal, we will evaluate your cards for FREE still. If you choose not to sell the cards, we'll ship them back shipping fees paid by us!
