Where is the most unique place you have opened a pack of cards? Recently, I topped my list by ripping a box of cards at the Hubbard Glacier in Alaska! Perhaps I started a new trend, too.

This month, I enjoyed a trip to our beautiful 49th State and ripped a box of cards in a picturesque place - the Hubbard Glacier in Alaska!

My wife, Darcy, booked us a lovely trip to Alaska where we enjoyed salmon, the Iditarod trail, panning for gold, and more! Knowing how much I love to open cards, she made sure I packed a 2026 Topps Series 1 box. Would I strike it rich? Not so much; no more than the 0.01 microns of gold I found in my pan... However, the experience was incredible. As I stepped to our balcony, all I could think was "this is a postcard." I haven't seen such a blue before! The first pack I opened had an Aaron Judge card inside. While the value of the Judge card is about 10 cents, if that, I'll be sleeving this card up and keeping in my personal collection - dubbing it The Hubbard Judge! I collect Aaron Judge, and Just Collect is always buying high-end Judge cards! Fun fact - Darcy and I also buy cards for our three dogs, Max, DJ, and Parker. DJ is quite the serious card collector these days and always uses his sniffer to pick out the good packs:

While on the trip, I thought I'd try out a new trend. On cruises, hiding tiny ducks is a thing. Some people have duck mailboxes on their cabin doors! I ended up leaving some cards from the box around for people to find and enjoy. I joined a Facebook group and posted pictures so other people could partake in hunting what I hid! I wonder if anyone found this Mookie Betts card I put with a menu at the buffet:

SHIP your collection

If you choose to mail your cards for an appraisal, we will evaluate your cards for FREE still. If you choose not to sell the cards, we'll ship them back shipping fees paid by us! We can offer our FedEx account with 2-day shipping, fully insured, all covered by us. Simply contact the office to set up this option.

OUR BUYING PHILOSOPHY

We've run into a wide range of people and collections over the last 25 years. Although Just Collect is known for buying vintage sports cards and especially vintage baseball cards, we are also extremely interested in buying non-sports cards, too!

Every collection and every collector is different and we treat EVERY collection with the respect and attention that we show for our own collections. We understand that many have put their heart and souls into building their collections. So when you're ready to sell, we understand the feelings that you're going through and will work with you to help you reach a decision that is a WIN/WIN, because if you're not happy, we're not happy.
